I was up to see Eleanor over lunch time and spoke to the nurse of the neurosurgeon, Dr. Brayton. He is hesitant to do the surgery since she is on so much steroid medication and the cytoxin. He is opting to wait a couple of weeks and see how the vasculitis is and the level of medications they have Eleanor on..The risk he doesn’t want to take right now is infection by opening her up at the neck and spine.
Let’s continue to pray for the vasculitis to calm down and the headaches will hopefully subside enough to allow her to be at home and pain kept under control.
She was able to walk around the floor today so far 3 times and will hopefully be able to a couple more times today to help build strength back in the legs..
